Election Day Photo-Op/Feature Story at NC State’s New Polling Site

NC State University Chancellor Marye Anne Fox and leaders of Student Government will be at a new polling site on NC State’s campus at 11:45 a.m. today to greet students and encourage participation in today’s general election.

The polling site is at the Witherspoon Student Center, 2810 Cates Avenue.

Media coverage is invited.

Earlier this year, Student Government representatives asked Wake County’s Board of Elections to move the polling site from its old location at the arts & Crafts Center in Pullen Park to Witherspoon Student Center because a site in middle of NC State’s main campus would be more accessible to students who live on campus. Student Government also registered 1,848 students as voters.

The student center is at the corner of Cates Avenue and Dan Allen Drive. Special parking areas will be provided for voters near the Witherspoon Center.
