The UAB has joined in the Campus Challenge!
The George Harrison Fund for UNICEF and ACUI Campus Challenge

UNICEF has partnered with the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) and the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF in a nationwide fundraising challenge on campuses from September 5, 2008 to February 28, 2009. With your help, we're hoping campuses will raise $150,000 by February 28, 2009, and your fundraising efforts will then be matched, dollar for dollar, by the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF.
Email uab_president@ncsu.edu for more info on how to get involved! Click the logo above and join the North Carolina State University Team to help us reach our campus goal of $20,000.
UAB is competing with campuses across the world to win the top prize:
The first place campus will have the opportunity to host UNICEF Celebrity
Ambassador Alyssa Milano and others for a screening The Concert for
Bangladesh Revisited with George Harrison and Friends, a 45 minute
documentary about the background to the two concerts held in 1971 and which
highlights exclusive interviews and contributions from former UN Secretary-
General Kofi Annan, Eric Clapton, Sir Bob Geldof and others.
