M. C. Claeys

In a continuing effort to provide youth and adult volunteers educational opportunities within the 4-H Livestock Program, the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, along with NCSU and the Haywood County Cooperative Extension Service, is proud to offer the 1996 Sheep Camp. This camp is designed to enhance the beginner as well as the advanced livestock showman's knowledge of current acceptable fitting and showmanship practices. This camp is open to all individuals interested in bettering their livestock skills.

Participants must provide their own animal, feed and bedding, clippers and blades, trimming table, extension cord, show box and other miscellaneous equipment. Participants may arrive at the Haywood County Fairgrounds no earlier than 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 8, 1996 in order to stall their animals.

The cost for the camp is $25.00 per participant. A participant is defined as any youth or adult bringing animals or an adult participating as a spectator. Youth may attend as spectators for a fee of $15.00. Both fees include lunch and supper on Friday and lunch on Saturday. Please complete the attached registration form prior to the August 1, 1996 deadline date.

The hotel headquarter is the Midway Motel, Waynesville, NC. A special flat rate of $40.33 including tax for a double room with up to 4 persons per room has been negotiated. Call the Midway Motel prior to August 1st at (704) 627-8401 to make reservations. Ask for the 4-H Sheep Camp rate.
