1995 State 4-H Stockman's Bowl

Livestock youth began their 4-H Congress week at the State Stockman's Bowl, held July 17 at the McKimmon Center. Participants competed in the following areas: livestock and grain judging, breed, equipment, feed and meat identification, as well as a written exam.

Casey Hinnant of Wilson County took top honors as the high Senior Individual in the overall placings. The top Senior team was also from Wilson County consisting of Casey Hinnant, Nicole Davis, and Clay Hinnant. In the Junior division, Rose Burlingham captured first place and led the Pitt County team to victory. Other members of this team included Andy Burlingham, Daniel Rowan, and Eric Briley.

The event is a great overall learning experience for the 4-H'ers by expanding their knowledge of the different aspects of the livestock industry. We encourage each of you to bring a team to next years competition.
