July 18th was also Livestock and Dairy Production Presentation day. District winners gave prepared demonstrations on a topic of their choice, competing for the state title. In the Senior Division, Heather O'Neal of Edgecombe County took top honors with her presentation entitled "Feeding For Success" which described market lamb feeding practices. Second place was awarded to Dana Sauls from Wayne County followed by Melissa Morgan of Currituck County in third. Jennifer Ferrel from Pasquotank County came out on top of the competitive Junior division with her presentation "The Way To the Piggy Bank." Bonnie Sasser of Wayne County came in second, while Randolph County's Jeremy McCain and Joshua Wright's team presentation was third.
